-Tiera has dragged a cardboard box onto the higher level and has padded it with a variety of scarves and jackets. She also has several stick-shaped props stuffed in to keep the shape of her "nest."

he's trying so, so hard not to break down. yuri plisetsky does not break down like this. but it's his life on the line, and this really is life or death.

[When she feels it, Kay herself begins to shake too, and her lip quivers. She has had enough, too - and she has already been here before. Back then, it was easy to get a pass to the hotel and make everyone vote for her. As much as she wanted to just disqualify herself, that would take a vote away from someone and sentence them to death.

Even if that someone were Matt or Simon.

Blinking back new tears, Kay just...draws Yuri close and embraces him tightly.]

he's crying. quietly. he doesn't exactly return kay's embrace, but his forehead's leaning against her shoulder and she can definitely hear him sniffling. this isn't fair. none of this is fair. he lost two of the only people he actually gave a damn about here, and now--now kay might die, too. he's not feeling too optimistic about any of this. ]

I'm not going down like this.

[She pats his back gently and grits her teeth in determination.]

We're not going down like this. I know some people who might still vote for me, you can get Odin to vote for you...and we'll leave Matt to do whatever he wants.

[quadjumps]

Odin has other friends here, doesn't he? Why would he pick me over anyone else?

[ god, he hates to sound like such a moron, but... ]

I don't--I don't make friends. The only person I can rely on for a vote is you.

[Kay refuses to give up. Especially not on Yuri.]

I'll trade with someone if Odin won't vote for you. Get them to vote for you and I'll vote for them.

What about you? You need a vote, too. Fuck, I'll even bid on a hotel pass, just--don't do anything stupid, okay?

I'll...I'll be fine.

We'll have to start thinking of what we would do for a hotel pass if it ever comes to that.

I'm not gonna stoop to the level of whoever did all of that the other night. If I die then I'm gonna die being better than that.

That's what I was thinking. If I killed anyone for a hotel pass I'd live with that guilt for the rest of my life.

...I'd probably even turn myself in if I survive.

And we're not going there.

Fuck. We might as well apprehend Matt or something like that for all the shitty things he's done. Pretty good bid if I say so myself.

Okuyasu proposed a kidnapping last time. We could keep him locked up or something so he can't participate in the games?

[quadjumps]

Yeah. That seems reasonable. Can we both get a hotel pass if we do that?

[kayssistant]

It's worth a try. I mean, there's no rule stating that only one hotel pass will be given out every week.

We'll have to up the ante, though. Maybe lock more than one person in their dressing room.

Simon? Or maybe whoever decided to fucking kill Tiera since they decided that they just couldn't take down only one person.

It's the next best thing to actually arresting them.
